rising U.S. inflation or a loss of confidence in the U.S. economy. But right now the United States is battling all of those economic problems at once, and recently that sent the dollar to record lows against the euro and pushed it below 100 yen
for the first time since 1995. Gold then topped $1,000 an ounce as investors sought to invest in something they thought would retain value.
The return of high inflation, combined with a slowing economy, suggests it's more important than ever to move into safer, more profitable investments in the coming days.
